Cleveland Park Cherry Blossom Walking Tour

The Tidal Basin isn't the only place to enjoy Washington's iconic cherry blossoms! Cleveland Park, one of Washington's most beautiful and architecturally eclectic neighborhoods, boasts some of the largest clusters of cherry trees off of the National Mall. Join a special seasonal bloom tour and venture into an original "streetcar suburb" to see cherry trees in their full splendor. Explore the National Cathedral grounds, stroll along picturesque tree lined streets, learn about an early Presidential retreat, and experience the bloom like a local! Sights and stops include:

This tour meets outside the Washington National Cathedral at 3101 Wisconsin Ave NW. The tour takes about 1 hour and covers approximately 1 mile, ending near McLean Gardens at Wisconsin Avenue and Idaho Avenue. Cherry Blossom tours are offered seasonally during the bloom, usually mid-March to mid-April. Please get in touch to request this tour privately or outside of the bloom. Visions of Power: Architecture and Politics on Capitol Hill


At the Eastern end of the National Mall stands Washington's most enduring architectural icon: the U.S. Capitol Building. The conceptual center of the Nation's capital, it sits atop what city planner Pierre L'Enfant described in 1792 as a "pedestal awaiting a monument". Cherry Blossom Tidal Basin Walking Tour


Every year Washington's iconic cherry blossom trees draw thousands of visitors to the Tidal Basin. Nestled among three spectacular memorials, the trees reach usually reach peak bloom in early April, when a breathtaking event takes place! Join a special Cherry Blossom Tidal Basin tour for an opportunity to see the memorials and cherry blossoms in their full splendor. Hear about the design of the memorials, visit a few hidden gems along the Tidal Basin, and learn all about the bloom! Sights and stops include:

This tour meets outside the Martin Luther King Memorial Bookstore at 121 West Basin Dr SW. The tour takes about 1.5 hours and covers approximately 1 mile, ending at the Jefferson Memorial.
